Sick With Worry

My stomach churns, my heart pounds fast,
I feel like I might throw up at last.

I’m so anxious, I can’t think straight,
I just want this feeling to abate.

I’m worried about everything,
It’s all too much, I can’t take it anymore.

I feel like I’m going to be sick,
I just want to curl up in a ball and cry.

I know I need to calm down,
But I just can’t seem to do it.

This feeling is so overwhelming,
I don’t know how much longer I can take

Forgetting Me

When you were sad I offered help,
A shoulder to cry on, a listening ear,
But now you’ve forgotten me,
As if I never was here.

I thought we were friends,
But maybe I was wrong.
Maybe I was just a distraction,
A passing fancy, a moment in time.

It’s funny how quickly things change,
How quickly people forget.
I guess I’m not that important to you,
After all.

So I’ll go back to my corner,
And I’ll be quiet.
I won’t bother you again.
I’ll just let you go.

But I’ll never forget,
How you treated me,
How you made me feel.

And I’ll never forgive you,
For forgetting me.
