God, I come to You
With a heavy heart,
A soul that aches
And a body that parts.

I need Your strength
To carry on,
To face the day
And all that’s gone.

I need Your peace
To calm my fears,
To still my soul
And ease my tears.

I need Your love
To fill my heart,
To give me hope
And strength to start.

So, God, I ask
For Your great power,
To give me strength
To face this hour.

I know You’ll hear me
And answer my prayer,
For You are good
And always there.

Thank You, God,
For all You’ve done,
For all You’re doing,
And for all You’ll do.
