Leaving You Behind

I’m tired of giving you advice,
Offering to help, but you spit in my face.
I’m tired of being your therapist,
When you don’t even want to make a change.

I’m tired of watching you make the same mistakes,
Over and over again.
I’m tired of feeling like I’m not enough,
When I’m doing the best I can.

I’m tired of being your savior,
When you don’t even want to be saved.
I’m tired of being your punching bag,
When all I want is to help you be better.

I’m tired of you taking me for granted,
Like I’m always going to be there for you.
I’m tired of you using me,
And then throwing me away when you’re done.

I’m done.
I’m done with you.
I’m done with your drama.
I’m done with your toxicity.

I’m moving on with my life,
And I’m leaving you behind.
I hope you find the help you need,
But it won’t be from me.

Lost Friends and Lovely Memoires

I had a great friend growing up. I tried to find them, but I only managed to find their mom. I thought that since I reached out, they would find me too, since I know they were in contact with their mother. But they didn’t.
Part of me is sad, but maybe their life has gone in different directions than mine has. It saddens me that I lost this friend, but I also have to remember the good times. Those memories I will cherish.

A childhood friend, once so dear,
Now distant, though we’re both so near.
I reached out, hoping to reconnect,
But your response left me perplexed.

“I’m not sure what to say,” you said,
“It’s been so long, we’ve both grown ahead.”
But I can’t help but wonder why,
You don’t seem to want to try.

Did we grow apart too far?
Did life leave a scar?
Or is there something else I don’t know,
Something that’s held you back, kept you low?

I miss the laughter we once shared,
The secrets we whispered, the dreams we bared.
And I hope that one day you’ll see,
That our friendship is still worth the plea.

But until then, I’ll respect your choice,
Though my heart aches with a silent noise.
I’ll cherish the memories we made,
And wish you all the best, unafraid.

And You Still Love Me

You Still Love Me
I can tell you everything,
All that's on my heart.

You can see me cry,
and
Hear me laugh.

You see my flaws,
and
My faults.

And somehow still,
You love me.

I can tell you everything,
All that's on my heart.

You see me mad,
And
You hear me scream.

You see my errors
And
You see my pain.

And somehow still,
You love me.

I can be myself,
As odd as I am.
As kooky and bizarre as I am.
And you love it all the same.
That's what love is supposed to look like.

Face of Horror

My friend, James, participated in the Face of Horror competition and placed in the top 10, without paying for any votes. This is an incredible achievement, especially considering that none of us have a lot of money.

Given that the money from paid votes goes to charity, it’s clear that my friend is the real winner here. He not only made it into the top 10 of a prestigious competition, but he also did it without spending any money.

James is the true winner!

The Realm of Darkness

This is a new series I am working on. What if there was as virus that turned people into zombie type things, but what if they remembered who they were before they became sick. Take this journey with me, look into the lives of the surviors in this first section of the Realm of Darkness.

I don’t know how we got here. It feels like it happened overnight, but I know that’s not true. Time is irrelevant now. To think that I used to worry about going to school with wet hair and if my clothes were the right style. Now, all I care about is staying alive and helping others stay alive. I am a survivor.

I’ve seen things that no one should ever have to see. I’ve lost people I loved. I’ve been through more pain than I ever thought possible. But I’m still here. I’m still fighting. And I’m not going to give up. None of us are. We are the resistance. We are one of the only holdouts of the human world. I know there are more of us out there, but communications were cut down when the virus took over.

We are scattered and alone, but we are not defeated. We will find each other. We will rebuild. We will reclaim our world. We are the survivors. We are the resistance. My name is Griselda, but people call me Selda. I am a survivor.
